Our Story
Moneth started in George Town after a run of conversations with small business owners who kept saying the same thing: their receipts were somewhere, their spreadsheet was somewhere else, and neither matched what they thought they had earned that month.
We built our first course around a simple idea borrowed from architecture — that a record system, like a building, holds up when it has clear structure. Every category, every entry, every month should sit in a place that makes sense, so a business owner can look at their own books and understand what they see.
Our mission is to teach practical, plain-language record-keeping to sole traders and small teams across Malaysia, so that owners can maintain tidy books between visits to a qualified accountant, and hand over organised information when it's time for professional review.
We keep our approach grounded: Moneth provides general education, templates and community support. We do not offer regulated financial advisory services, and we're upfront with every learner about that distinction.

Module 03 — Our Standards
How we run our courses
Data Privacy
Any records or figures shared during coursework are handled with care and never shared beyond the course context.
Reviewed Curriculum
Course materials are reviewed regularly by our facilitators to keep terminology and templates current.
Small Cohorts
Group sessions are kept small enough that every learner gets time to ask questions about their own books.
Clear Boundaries
We are explicit that our sessions are education, not licensed accounting or advisory work, and we point learners to qualified professionals when needed.
Record-Keeping Knowledge for Malaysian Small Businesses
Small traders across Penang, Kuala Lumpur and beyond often manage receipts, invoices and cash flow without a formal bookkeeping background. Moneth focuses on that gap, teaching structured record organisation, spreadsheet upkeep and preparation for professional handover. Our facilitators draw on retail, hospitality and services experience to keep lessons grounded in day-to-day business reality rather than abstract theory. Learners leave each session with templates they can use immediately, along with a working understanding of terms accountants commonly reference during year-end review.
